I received this tea quite a while ago from Jennifer at Tea = Bliss and am finally getting around to trying it. I have to admit that I’ve been drinking 99% coffee and 1% tea for the past few months, which is why there haven’t been any reviews lately. This tea is a pretty strong replacement for morning coffee. Irish Sunrise looks like coarsely ground coffee and was processed using the...

So, if we’re close, you know that I hate feet. I think they look weird, I don’t want them touching me and I’m a little apprehensive about showing mine off. I decided to challenge myself to take some shots of my own feet that I like. Filed under: Photography

Lapsang Souchong Supreme from Tantalizing Tea: Supremely smoky! Not a fan. I’m sick, which may explain my aversion. Steep 4-5 min @ boiling.

First off, happy Thanksgiving to all! I’m having a great time with my family! We’re watching the parade, drinking egg nog! My parents went out for last minute groceries and brought back some Eggnogg’n tea for me! Woohoo! Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

The best part of my day has definitely got to be seeing my dad and Debbie for the first time in a few months. It’s been hard since everyone moved away, they are my strongest support system. I’m so excited to be able to spend Thanksgiving with them and to be able to visit my sister, Brandi. Woohoo! Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

John was having a rough morning so we went on a walk during lunch. The weather was beautiful. Hopefully he left feeling better. It made my day to have some time with him. Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

Happiness shouldn’t come from material goods but I can’t help it. John was sweet and went out and bought the new Sims 3 expansion to surprise me. Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

I got a huge package of tea in the mail from Jennifer Bliss today! Thanks so much for all of it. We almost thought it was lost in the mail, so it was a nice surprise. Now I’m settling down for the night with a cup of Chai Redbush from Yogi Tea. :9 Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

Bought an armoire because my small collection of jewelry seemed to be getting out of hand. Being organized isn’t neccessarily the direct cause of my happiness but it calms me and being calm allows me to be happy. Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

I love meeting up with friends unexpectedly and spending the whole day together. We met new people, had great conversations, many laughs and delicious food. John and I finished our night out with some icecream. Our unplanned day was a success! Any day that ends with icecream is a success. Posted in Personal Life Tagged: happiness

I have received two Ceylon black teas from Mighty Leaf: Ceylon Kenilworth and Ceylon Yalta. They are both what I would call “basic” black teas, or as Annelies from Mighty Leaf described them, as the “poodle” of the tea world (haha!). I tried them side-by-side to be able to compare the flavors. Ceylon Kenilworth My first impressions of a tea come from the smell of the dry leaves and this tea...

Rooibos Renewal from @mightyleaf: Citrusy with green rooibos and a little flowery. Not my cup of tea. Steep 5 min @ 205F.

I received a sample of Rooibos Renewal with the Spirulina Stamina sample from Mighty Leaf a week or so ago. I liked the Spirulina Stamina a lot more than this herbal blend. Maybe I’m biased because I live in Florida but I feel that oranges should either be the star of a drink (like orange juice) or used with other flavors that tone down the citrus flavor (like in Orange Dulce tea). When orange...
